If you’ve been looking for an excuse to get tattooed this Halloween, I’ve got a pretty good one.
N’Vious Tattoo Gallery is celebrating our Grand Opening on Halloween — October 31 — at our new location on Jefferson in Cookeville, Tennessee!
After moving into our bigger space and getting settled in, we’re finally ready to celebrate properly. We wanted this event to feel like us: tattoos, art, community, a little chaos, costumes, and a whole lot of fun.
And yes… there will be $31 tattoos.
$31 Halloween Tattoos
For Grand Opening Day, we’ll have a special sheet of Halloween tattoo designs available for $31 each.
A few things to know before you come:
- Limit one $31 tattoo per person
- Tattoos are linework only
- No additional color or shading
- Tattoos will be first come, first served
- We are not taking appointments or RSVPs for the $31 tattoos
So if there’s a design you’ve got your eye on, coming earlier is probably a good idea.
Our goal is to make the day fun and accessible while giving you a chance to check out the new studio, meet the artists, and leave with a little Halloween souvenir permanently attached to you.
Seems reasonable.

We’re also raffling off a $300 tattoo gift certificate.
Raffle tickets are only $5 each, and the best part is that all raffle proceeds are going to the Putnam County Animal Shelter.
You don’t have to wait until Halloween to enter, either.
Raffle tickets are available October 1–31, so you can stop by the shop before the Grand Opening to grab yours.

It’s Halloween. Of course costumes are encouraged.
Just keep your tattoo placement in mind when choosing what to wear. If you’re planning to get tattooed, make sure your costume is easy enough to move or adjust so your artist can actually reach the area.
We love commitment to the costume.
We also need access to your skin.

Yes, You Can Bring the Kids
N’Vious has always been about creating a welcoming environment, and families are welcome to stop by during the Grand Opening.
We’ll even have gift bags for the kiddos.
Because this is still an active tattoo studio, we just ask that children stay with their adults while they’re inside.
Come check out the space, look at the art, meet everybody, grab a gift bag, and let the kids see where Mom’s questionable financial decisions happen.
More Than Just a Tattoo Shop
One of my favorite things about N’Vious is that the vision has always been bigger than simply putting tattoos on people.
Owner and artist Rik Sharp has spent more than 25 years tattooing, and part of what makes this shop special is the emphasis on actual artistry, mentorship, and creating the next generation of tattooers.
That includes me.
I’m currently apprenticing at N’Vious, learning the craft while getting the opportunity to work alongside experienced artists every week.
Our new space gives us more room to grow into what N’Vious is becoming: an art-centered tattoo studio where people can feel comfortable, artists can create incredible work, apprentices can learn the craft the right way, and the local creative community has somewhere to gather.
The Grand Opening is really a celebration of that next chapter.
And Then… the After Party
Once the tattooing winds down, Halloween isn’t over.
We’re heading over to Mean Mel’s for the Grand Opening After Party featuring WEIGHED DOWN.
So you can spend the day getting tattooed and hanging out with us at N’Vious, then keep Halloween going afterward.
Honestly, this might be the most Cookeville Halloween plan possible.
